1. Outside and Parking
Paperback Coffee is a new bakery cafe in Gijang that opened in January this year.
It is known as the second branch of Dough & Rope, a famous bakery in Haeundae.
The cafe has a light gray brick exterior with warm orange lights, creating a cozy atmosphere.
It is located on the first floor of a building near the back gate of an apartment complex, and paid parking is available.
2. Inside the Cafe
The name “Paperback Coffee” comes from the idea of a light and easy book you can enjoy anywhere.
The cafe feels comfortable and relaxing, just like its name.☕️
We visited around 4 PM after lunch, and many of the breads were already sold out.👀
Only a few items were left, such as baguettes, salt bread, Mont Blanc, cinnamon rolls, babka, cakes, and cookies.🥖🥐🍰🍪
Focaccia, ciabatta, and most pastries were already sold out, and only empty trays were left.
Drinks and sandwiches were listed on a separate menu, and we heard the sandwiches are also very good.🥪
There was a self-service area with water, cups, and napkins.
There were many seats for two and four people, but it was hard to take photos because it was busy.
3. Cake & Drinks
Since we already had pizza for lunch, we ordered cake and drinks instead of bread.
Basque Cheesecake (7,000 KRW)
Jeju Black Orange Tea (6,500 KRW)
Café Latte (4,500 KRW)
The Basque cheesecake was soft and rich, and melted in my mouth. It had a deep and creamy cheese flavor.
The Jeju Black Orange Tea is made with Jeju oranges and brown sugar, and tasted sweet and refreshing.🍊
I would definitely order it again next time.
The cafe latte, made with specialty coffee beans, went perfectly with the cheesecake.
We enjoyed dessert and drinks together and spent time talking without noticing the time.
If you are looking for a popular bakery cafe or a well-known bakery from Haeundae, I recommend Paperback Coffee in Gijang.
