Hwajeonri Bakery is a large bakery café located right next to Jace Glamping. In the evening, it looks especially beautiful with its warm decorative lights.💡
Parking is available in the gravel lot in front of the café, and as expected from a large-scale bakery café, it can accommodate around 50 cars.
After checking out from Jace Glamping, we showed our Naver review and were told to choose one Cloud Bread. While looking around, we also noticed a sign saying that customers who leave a Naver review for Hwajeonri Bakery receive a madeleine as a gift.
Cloud Bread is the bakery’s signature item, available in six varieties: original, fresh cream, strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, and chestnut. The bread is known for being moist and soft due to its longer baking time, and its cloud-like shape is especially cute. 🍞🧁🫐
Another signature item, Hwajeonri Soybean Soup, is a seasonal menu available only from April to October. I was curious about the taste, so I’ll have to come back in the summer.
After browsing the wide selection of breads on display, we ordered drinks and additional bread for lunch.
Hot lemon tea – 6,000 KRW
Iced vanilla latte – 7,000 KRW
Onion bread – 6,500 KRW
Cheese fondue bread – 4,800 KRW
Blueberry cloud bread – 6,500 KRW (free with Naver review)
Originally, we planned to have just two breads, but since we received a Cloud Bread as a gift, we ended up buying one more.
Near the counter, there was a self-service station with forks, knives, scissors, napkins, and wet wipes, along with comfortable sofa seating and free Wi-Fi information.
Stepping outside the counter area, there were even more seating options, as well as vending machines and arcade games, making it a fun place especially for kids.🎮
There was also a well-decorated Christmas-themed photo zone.📸
One area appeared to be where the bread is made, and it was open for customers to see. As a popular bakery, their transparent process made it feel even more trustworthy.
Although you can dine inside Hwajeonri Bakery, it is also possible to enjoy your food at Jace Santum Coffee, a large book café nearby that is well known in Gijang. So we decided to head over there.📚
