Paris Baguette Ilgwang New Town in Gijang, Busan
We planned to eat out for my husband’s birthday. But he has been very busy with work lately and has had little time to rest.
So he said he wanted to stay home, relax, and have some food delivered.
But I still wanted to do something special for his birthday.
Before he came home from work, I went to Paris Baguette Ilgwang New Town and bought a fresh and sweet Blueberry Chiffon Cake. 🫐✨

1. Buying the Cake on KakaoTalk
My husband really loves blueberries. When he sees a blueberry smoothie at a café, he always orders one right away.
So I was looking for a blueberry cake and found this Blueberry Chiffon Cake at Paris Baguette.
The cake looked simple and pretty. I also read reviews saying that it was light and tasty.
I thought about buying it at the store, but I wondered if I could get it cheaper. So I checked KakaoTalk Gift. Luckily, there was a special discount!
There were two ways to get the extra discount:
- Buy the cake as a gift for yourself.
- Pay with KakaoPay Money.
The original price was 35,000 won, but I paid 26,510 won after the discount. I saved almost 10,000 won! ✨
I went to Paris Baguette Ilgwang New Town and showed the KakaoTalk Gift barcode to the staff.
I also asked if I could change the cake decoration to a cute bear. 🐻The special cake decoration for Family Month cost an extra 900 won.
And just like that, the birthday cake was ready!
2. Fresh and Sweet Blueberry Chiffon Cake
When my husband came home, I took the cake out of the fridge while we were getting dinner ready.
He was surprised and asked me when I bought it. Then he smiled when he saw the cake.
He was even happier when he found out it was a blueberry cake!
Before dinner, we put candles on the cake and sang Happy Birthday. 🎂✨
For dinner, we had my husband’s favorite food, Korean-style raw fish. We ordered flounder, rockfish, and mullet from a local sashimi restaurant called Odaeyang Hoetjip.
We also had some small sushi pieces and spicy stir-fried octopus.
I also cooked some chamdurup, a spring vegetable. It took some time to clean, but it was very tasty after boiling it.
After dinner, it was time for dessert! We took the Blueberry Chiffon Cake out again.
When we opened the box, we could smell the blueberry right away. The cake was very soft and easy to cut.
If you cut the cake into 8 pieces, one piece has about 300 calories. So we decided to have just one piece each.
The cake is made with plant-based cream, but it had a strong blueberry smell and a soft texture. It was not too sweet or too heavy.
It had a fresh blueberry taste from the first bite to the last. One piece was just the right amount for us.
There were fresh blueberries on top and blueberry jam between the cake layers.
The chiffon cake was soft, fluffy, and moist. The cream also went very well with the cake.
I especially liked that it was not as sweet as many other cakes.
If you are looking for a birthday cake or a cake for a special day, I recommend trying the Blueberry Chiffon Cake from Paris Baguette. 🫐🎂
And before you buy it, check KakaoTalk Gift. You may be able to get it at a lower price!
