1. Getting There & Parking
Near Megabox Haeundae Jangsan, there is a shopping complex called Hwamok Department Store. Go down to the basement level, and you’ll see three wide hallways from the entrance.
Both sides of the hallways are lined with restaurants, bakeries, cafés, nail salons, and hair salons. Walk all the way to the end of the hallway, and you’ll find Myeonghee’s Cook Morimori Donburi Lunch Box.
We parked on Basement Level 2. The parking area was surprisingly spacious, and customers using the shopping complex can park for free.
2. About the Restaurant
Myeonghee’s Cook Morimori Donburi Lunch Box specializes in takeout and delivery. It’s a small restaurant designed mainly for takeaway orders.
We visited in the afternoon to avoid the busy lunch rush. Even outside lunch and dinner hours, the restaurant stays busy because they receive delivery orders until late at night.
After finishing our work at Myeonghee’s Cook and visiting a few nearby stores, we were getting ready to leave. Then the owner smiled and said, “Please wait a moment.” A few minutes later, she surprised us with two freshly made donburi bowls as a gift. 🍱
It was completely unexpected. More than the food itself, we were touched by her warm smile and genuine kindness.
Myeonghee’s Cook mainly serves seafood donburi. You can mix and match freshwater eel, tuna, salmon, shrimp, and other fresh seafood to create your favorite bowl.

3. Premium Donburi
The menu we received was the Premium Donburi. At first glance, it was easy to see that it was made with high-quality ingredients. 👀✨
Premium Donburi – ₩18,000
The bowl included four premium toppings:
• Freshwater eel
• Bluefin tuna akami (lean tuna)
• Fresh salmon
• Marinated shrimp
It also came with grilled mushrooms, wasabi, sliced onions, flying fish roe, chopped pickled radish, pickled ginger, and fresh sprouts. Everything looked fresh, and the bowl was full of food. 🌱
I’m usually very sensitive to the fishy smell of seafood, so I don’t eat it very often. But this donburi was surprisingly easy to enjoy.
There was almost no unpleasant seafood smell at all.
The salmon tasted fresh without any fishiness. The tuna was clean, rich, and pleasantly savory without feeling greasy. The marinated shrimp was also soft and delicious.
For the first time in a very long time—maybe even for the first time ever—I truly enjoyed a seafood donburi. 🤍
The freshwater eel had a slight fishy flavor for my taste, so I happily gave most of it to my husband, who absolutely loves eel.
Since I’m especially sensitive to the unique flavor of eel, I usually can’t eat it at all in most restaurants. So I was actually happy that I could enjoy at least one bite, even though I couldn’t finish it myself.
Overall, the seafood tasted very fresh. Even people who usually don’t enjoy seafood may find this a great place to give seafood donburi a try.
As my husband and I enjoyed our late dinner together, we quickly understood why this restaurant is so popular.
The seafood was fresh and high quality. The meal felt satisfying without being too heavy. It’s easy to see why so many people love this place.
Since they offer free delivery within Busan, next time I’d like to order a bowl with tuna, salmon, and marinated shrimp.
